How it works
What you can do now, and what comes later
There are two stages, and we have kept them apart on purpose so nothing on this site reads as though it already works. The first is joining the Founding Network, which you can do today. The second is the way the site will run once the pilot opens.

Register and set up your profile
Registration is open on both sides and it is free. What you are doing is getting a profile ready for the pilot, not posting live jobs or searching for installers.

None of these steps work today. They are written out so you know exactly what you are joining.

A retailer posts the job
The flooring, the area, the dates and what is involved. Posting costs nothing, and it beats ringing down a list hoping somebody answers.

MyFloorPro works out who suits it
The job is checked against what each installer lays, the products and the sort of sites they work on, the areas they cover and what the job needs. An up to date calendar sharpens the match, but nobody is ruled out for leaving theirs down.

Suitable installers hear about it
An alert with the job, the dates and what is involved, rather than a cold call from a number they don't know. If it does not suit, they leave it, and that counts against nobody.

Interested installers put their hand up
The retailer sees who has responded and what sort of outfit they run: the work, the areas, the crew and the gear. No business names and no phone numbers at this point.

The retailer decides who to talk to
From the installers who responded, or someone found through Capacity Radar and invited. Nobody is committed to anything yet, and either side can still walk away.

You both say yes, then details are swapped
Contact details, business names and the site information go out to both sides at the same time. Free for the retailer during the founding beta; once fees begin, this is where the one fixed fee applies. The installer is never charged.

You sort the job out between you
The work, the rates and the payment are between the retailer and the installer. MyFloorPro is not part of that.
And the other direction
Installers can also put up the weeks they want to fill. Capacity Radar will show retailers who has room, what they lay and where they work, so a retailer can plan ahead and invite someone rather than wait for responses. It is extra on top of the matched alerts, not the way in: an installer with nothing on their calendar still hears about jobs that suit them.

Who pays
Retailers pay, installers don’t
The retailers that need installers are the ones paying for the introduction.
Taking part is meant to stay free for installers. No lead fees, no introduction fees, no commission on your labour, and nothing to pay to be found or invited.
During the founding beta a retailer pays nothing at all. Once fees begin, a retailer pays one fixed fee for an introduction, and only after both sides have said they want to talk. See what it costs. We have not settled on the amount and will publish it before anyone is asked to pay.
Our part in it
What we are, and what we are not
Worth being clear about, because plenty of sites are vague on this.
We introduce two independent businesses to each other. We are not the head contractor, not your employer, not a labour hire company, not an agency, and we are not holding anyone’s money. We do not do the work and we do not pay the installer.
The retailer and the installer deal with each other directly, and the payment for the work stays between them. Joining does not get an installer work, and it does not get a retailer an installer.
